All 3 of my kids attended and they have blossomed into confident, academically prepared, and very social children after attending Wunderkind. Kumud and her staff are very caring and professional. If you are looking for a gem of a daycare and the best balance of reaching early developmental milestones in a loving environment, please look no further. I had all three children in Wunderkind from 2020-2025 from 1 year old to prior to starting Kindergarten.The director, Mrs. Kumud, has years of experience and offers great direction for the kids, and parents as well. I consider her and her family incredible mentors of mine in my parenthood journey. Since our very first meeting at The Wunderkind with Mrs. Kumud, she has been professional, loving, and incredibly responsive. She was very thoughtful and smart when it came to navigating COVID (and general policies regarding illnesses), especially at a time when most larger daycares were closing their doors. The small based nature of the home environment really allows the kids to bloom and is developmentally appropriate for children in their early education. Mrs. Kumud is well organized and very clear and concise in her messaging. When talking about our daycare experience to other parents outside of Wunderkind, Ive always been so grateful that our kids were in such a well structured and affectionate environment. Our kids were more than ready when they transitioned to kindergarten. If anything, mom and dad were more sad to leave such an incredible support system. We are so incredibly grateful to have found Wunderkind Preschool while searching for daycare for our son when he was just 1 ½ years old. From the very beginning, the teachers have been warm, caring, and attentive, creating an environment where our son has truly thrived. Wonderkind has been the best preschool for our kids. Our son and daughter attended for 3-4 years each. Miss Kumud and her staff provided a nurturing and safe environment. Our children LOVED the Wunderkind school. They made friends, learned to share and communicate with others, and thoroughly enjoyed creating each of the projects they’d come home with. The curriculum was designed specifically by her and both of my kids were able to read before starting transitional kindergarten at our local elementary school. They were comfortable with numbers far beyond some of their peers in TK. Miss Kumuds home is beautiful and perfectly equipped for the kids. We’ve never toured a cleaner facility. The teacher’s helpers were always kind and attentive towards the kids. One of my personal favorite things unique to Wunderkind was that a balanced breakfast and lunch was provided daily (along with snacks and milk). Our kids loved to eat with their peers and genuinely loved their meals there. We couldn’t recommend the Wunderkind more. Kumud and her staff were so amazing. We were driving across town from Danville for 5 years because we loved their pre-school so much. She thrived in this environment, academically and socially. She learned so much in her time there including counting, letters, language skills like Spanish, alphabet, drawing, etc. in addition to learning greater soft skills like playing well with other kids, eating independently, sleeping well and not relying on pacifiers! The home is very clean, structured and has lots of amenities like a huge backyard for playtime. The teachers truly care about the well being of the kids and my daughter was constantly asking to go there every morning and on weekends. The reason I liked Wunderkind compared to other home based day cares is because they focus on learning and academic development along side free play and social activities. My daughter started WunderKind Preschool manged by Kumud when she was around 15 months and was there until she turned 4. I wouldn't have asked for anything else for her first foundation years of learning and exploring the outside world. Kumud manages the school very well and has a very balanced curriculum for preschool age kids with focus on early math and phonics. Other than academics there's always a lot of fun activities planned for kids. I would wholeheartedly recommend Wunderkind if you are looking for a safe and clean and balanced preschool type of setting for your preschoolers :)
