Preschoolers are considered to be young scientists,

Preschooler:

We introduce math, English, science, history, and geography using phonics system.

Environment:

Parental role, in the development of their child's growth both from mental and physical level have a direct impact on the personality of their child. Research reveals that when young children experience warm and close contacts with their parents during introducing reading and writing, they develop more positive attitudes. We discuss these topics with parents in more details on a regular basis to make them understand the needs of their child. On the other hand, we as a caregiver, work hard to provide similar atmosphere for them to give a feeling of their own home. In other words, solid bonding between teacher and student is extremely important.

Reading:

Parents are more concerned about their child's progress in reading than in any other subject taught in school, and rightfully so. In order for students to achieve in math, science, English, history, geography, and other subjects, reading skills must be developed to the point that most of them are automatic. Students cannot struggle with word recognition when they should be reading quickly for comprehension of a text.

Because reading is so important to success in school, we encourage parents to help their child. Parent plays an important role in helping their children to become interested in reading. It also helps in encouraging their growth in reading skills. At the same time, parents and teachers need to work together. We work hand-in-hand with parents on their child's psychology and their liking and disliking. We send their work back to home and request parents to motivate their child. As a result, they develop some of the skills at home that later help them in school.

Writing:

Writing is the second most important topic of concern to the parents. After enrolling any child to our program, we evaluate them. That way we get to know "them and their need". We introduce writing by using art. In the beginning, we ask them to draw line, circle, square etc. Again repetition is the key for a child's initial understanding of a concept. We give more emphasis on the grasping of the subject matter. Once they start getting the concept, we move forward. For anything, getting a concept is of utmost important. As there is a saying, Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day; teach a man to fish and he will survive forever. Our theory is based on the conceptual teaching. We don't move forward until a child gets the concept.

For Preschoolers, we introduce writing with topic sentences. This way, we simultaneously introduce thinking skills, letter coordination, to set a picture in their mind-set using a step-by-step method of sentences.

If a child makes a mistake when reading aloud, don't interrupt. If the mistake doesn't change the meaning, let it go.
