Q: Is the home clean and safe?
For Cleanliness:
1. We open all the windows and doors once in a day to bring in fresh air.
2. We use a Vacuum cleaner, which also has an ionizer in it. This vacuum cleaner is one of the most effective vacuum cleaners available in the market.
3. We clean our house on everyday basis and make sure that (Specially bathrooms) are clean.
4. We clean children accessible areas with proper disinfectants.
For Safety:
In Home safety:
1. We have received "OUTSTANDING" from the NEWARK FIRE DEPARTMENT.
2. We have three fire extinguishers placed in various locations in our facility with proper emergency exit planning posted on the walls.
3. As a part of our curriculum we teach a planned emergency exit drill.
4. We also have a planned emergency exit drill on a monthly basis or whenever a new child joins our facility.
5. All electrical outlets properly covered.
6. All off limit areas are isolated with proper door locks and safety latches.
7. No hazardous chemicals and materials are stored in the lower cub-boards.
8. Children's furniture is approved by the Fire safety code.
9. Ours is a well-educated staff with 15 hours CPR training (Pediatric first-aid, and Preventive health and safety training).
Outdoor safety:
1. We have temperature controlled Australian tiles in our outdoor area, which helps children to keep them safe from skin burning or warming.
2. The facility is properly fenced.
3. There are no poisonous and thorny plants with in the reach of any child.
4. We have constant supervision over the children while playing outside.
5. We don't use swings, bouncers, and jumpers in our facility.
6. We have no pond, swimming pool or sand for safety and cleanliness point of view.
Q: How will my child be disciplined?
Ans: There are various factors we have considered based on studies conducted by the child development specialists.
- We communicate to the child what needs to be done at that moment.
- We Re-direct child's attention or activity by using positive language. "
- We say "No", while maintaining love e.g. I like your drawing when you draw them on the paper but I don't like it if you draw it on the wall.
- We give the reason of our rules.
- We give limited tasks and we are always specific in request.
- As a part of our curriculum, we encourage our children to explore their surroundings in a proper way using their senses. It could be touch, smell etc.
- We teach a sense of security to each child by respecting their feelings, and allowing them to express their emotions in expectable ways to make them feel good and proud about themselves.
- Emotional growth is important for each child. We apply techniques of psychology i.e.
- Act as we expect them to act
- Set reasonable and positive expectations
- Respect their feelings
- Trust them to succeed
- Offer them good choices i.e. to let them understand what is good and bad
- Calmly talk about the problem rather shouting or scaring.
- Using self-controlling techniques:
To build self-concept by adopting daily introduction, two sentences, and what they did at home last night. Choose child of the day. This technique helps to keep a target in their mind-set.
Q: How we help our children to Language development?
Ans. We teach the child using alliteration. Alliteration is the key to language development. Apart from this, we use action for them to understand the concept about the subject matter.
